It is World Bread Day and World Food Day today.
It's also my French Dad's Birf'day. He is so worldly and he loves his baguette. As usual, I baked our daily loaf with my way too much whey that I have from cheese making experiments.
In France it's La Semaine de Gout where French kiddies learn for a week about healthy cooking, take tours of farms and see cows, chickens and potatoes, and taste fresh produce, plus they get to wear chefs hats! Tomorrow, I was supposed to be teaching how to make a fresh, good for you hamburger with our local Slow Food chapter, but my husband has to work so I am car-less. I'll be baking bread instead and wishing that we could eradicate hunger in this world one loaf at a time.
